We all know how technology has changed our lives and the how we depend on it so much that it is almost impossible to go on for a day without technology. It has certainly made our lives both simple and complicated. It has pervaded every single part of our life that we depend on it more than anything in this world. The generation z has pretty much had technology around them the day they were born, and sometimes they get too addicted to it.
These days we can see how kids operate smartphones and other digital devices much better than the adults in the family. Children tend to learn a lot of things with the help of technology at a very young age.
Education:
Technology has completely changed the way we look at education and children these days have so much opportunity to learn and connect with others from different parts of the world to share their ideas and knowledge. Gone are the days when we have to search for information from the book to book. Children these days have the opportunity to get any piece of information with just a click of a button. Schools are replacing books with computers and other digital devices to enable children to learn better.
Laziness:
We have created technology so that it would help us save time and we could use that time to do something efficiently. But it did not exactly turn out that way. Kids these days hardly go out to play and find it so hard to do any physical work. We often find kids glued to the computer or television and never do any chores. Parents struggle to make their children experience the childhood they had but often end up in utter failure.
Addiction:
Back in those days in many cultures, mothers fed their children by showing the moon and all the things that were around them. These days, kids get so adamant that they demand a smartphone if their parents want them to do something. Technology has consumed children these days, and many kids have gotten addicted to it. It is quite sad to see kids sitting in front of the TV when they have to be running around the exploring the real world.
Interaction:
Children these days have various options to communicate and interact with other people, and thus they can share ideas and knowledge with people all over the world. There are so many social media sites which makes interaction much easier. However, parents need to make sure that their children are communicating with the right person as the internet is filled with many fraudsters.
Technology has definitely brought about many good things and bad things at the same time. You need to monitor what your children are doing with technology constantly. Never let technology consume them and teach them that they need to use in the right way.
